The Voice of Hope Retreat is for you, if you:

Are an Indigenous women

Are or have been diagnosed with cancer

Are impacted either directly or intergenerationally by Indian Residential or Indian Day
School systems

Highlights of the Voice of Hope Retreat

Opportunity to participate in women’s traditional ceremony

Small group sharing circles with trained facilitators with peers with lived experience

Expert Speakers in Western knowledge and Traditional knowledge

Interactive lectures

Hands-on skill building workshops

Local lively entertainment and;

BINGO - gift bags, prizes, and giveaways!

There is no cost to attend and all registration, activities, accommodations and meals are provided. Travel funding is available. A Special fund for those requiring assistance with additional costs to attend is available but must be applied for in advance.

WHEN?

Voice of Hope Retreat Dates are usually 3 days long beginning on Friday evening and ending around noon on Sunday. The 2023 Dates are TBD and will be announced shortly.

WHERE?

Voice of Hope Retreat Locations are usually in the Edmonton area. Travel funding is available to those coming from out of town. The 2023 Locations are TBD and will be announced shortly.
