About Wahkotowin Society

The Wahkotowin Society is a registered, non-profit incorporated Society in Alberta since 1994. The Wahkohtowin Society was started for and continues to be for Indigenous women who are Survivors - of cancer and of the ongoing legacy of Residential Schools. The mission of the Wahkohtowin Society is to support and empower Indigenous women on their healing journey to wellness, who have lived experiences of cancer and of the impacts of the ongoing legacy of Residential Schools. The Wahkohtowin Society aims to achieve this mission by developing and providing culturally safe activities and networks for Indigenous women Survivors.
